Markets in the surroundings of Amsterdam

Interested in Dutch markets? Close to Amsterdam are many markets to be found. All the main cities that surround our capital have their own general market and some have specialized markets too. If you like flowers, shoes and clothing, food or antiques, see our list below to find the market you like.

General Markets

A Dutch market can give you a good picture of what the Netherlands is in various ways. And the possibility of tasting and smelling the products, while exchanging a word with the vendors, is irresistible. You’ll find stands with fresh fruit, vegetables and nuts. There’s bread, cheeses, cold meats and artisan products. Clothing, fabrics and household items can be found there. And of course you find your daily groceries. The markets are well situated to be accessible to the buying public and held mostly in the open air. Have a look at the list of general markets here.
